There are plenty of things that make us angry when it comes to golf, but the worst thing of all simply must be golf cheats!
In fact, you’ll do well to find a golfer who doesn’t have a tale to tell when it comes to cheating!
It’s a disgrace that these people undermine and steal from the very people they call friends, but worst of all, we let them get away with it.
How many people simply shrug their shoulders and them carry on, week after week? ‘You’d better watch him, he moves his ball near to the hole on the green…’ is the most you would ever get…
He wouldn’t be doing that if he knew he would get a putter across the back of the head!
So you get the blatent cheaters, but then you have the sneaky cheats, ‘I think that was a five…’ they say, before pausing to see if they are challenged.
Or you can get those who simply pretend not to know the rules, ‘Oh, i’ll just drop one and play it from here, hang on, it’s taken a bad lie, i’ll just move it.. what? you’re not allowed to? oops…’
So, if you see someone cheating, make a stand! If you hear that someone cheats, refuse to play with them, if asked why, say that it’s because they cheat!
